Fucking Tamoor beat me too it; and it’s such a dumb patent too. It’s like saying no, you can’t have gameplay.
I guess I can only have my mini-games in load screens in games like Muscle March and all those shovel-ware Gundam games.
Apparently Namco Bandai owns the ‘play a game in the loading screen’ patent, that’s why no one does it.

I recall the first Broken Sword having a great game of Brick Breaker during the install, but for loading screens of shooters, maybe they could show a slow-mo reel of your deaths in a previous level, MW2 killcam-style
The best loading screens are the interactive ones. For the Dragon Ball Z Budaki games-which is still think are great games- you would just mash a button to make a little character fly around the screen; and the harder you pressed the button the cooler things he did.
