Though prices in the US are raising by a tenner a year, over here the monthly subscriptions are rising from £4.99 to £5.99. 3-month and annual packs are staying the same price.

Trying to see if theres a rise in the eurozone that may effect gamers in the Republic of Ireland, I’ll post any updates here.

Aceybongo’s of MSUK says he’s not aware of any eurozone price changes.

“We’re confident that when the new pricing takes effect, an Xbox LIVE Gold membership will continue to offer the best value in the industry.”

True unless you compare it against the free price that all the others offer, thats probably a little cheaper.

Seems a bit mad to me though that now it will be more expensive than playstation plus, while essentialy offering much less (with plus they have pretty much the same features except plus gives you free games and content too).

Well hopfully it wont change over in Ireland considering we dont have
Last FM, Netfix or Indie Games.

Since I usually get annual subscriptions this doesn’t have much of an impact on me. However, I don’t think this is going to go down well so far into the lifetime of the service.

Also – who’s leg do I have to hump to get Netflix in Europe…jeez.
