So far im digging the multiplayer, even with it’s retarded RC cars.
About 2 hours into the campaign and it’s started to get good – hoping this story wraps up well which the reviews seem to suggest. How are you guys enjoying it?

I’m I allowed to comment on the game by saying why I’m not going to buy it (shock, horror)?

And honestly I only got it because I had a £40 voucher for game and succumbed to peer pressure

Enjoying it, MP isn’t throwing up any surprises bit it’s still fun, same old sketchy gameplay issues such as hitboxes and dodgy spawning.

I didn’t play World at War so I missed out on all the Zombie stuff, looking forward to trying that.

I buy FPSs because of the gameplay, and Black Ops is pretty much a carbon copy of MW2 with different guns (I assume) and a new story. Hence everyone on the internet thinks ‘OMGWTFNEWCODOMGOMG’ when what in fact they should realise is that in fact Black Ops an old Cod with new models and a new script. I don’t want to play a new CoD story, because it will never be as good as Uncharted, Heavy Rain, etc. and I can look it up on Wikipedia.

If we stop buying CoD then we can have some good new games from good developers (i.e Infinity Ward) rather good old games from good developers. If we don’t stop buying CoD now in 50 years all we’ll have are CoD with exponential numbers at the end, which is still MW2, accept played on the Move Kinect 363. And there will be 600 billion billion billion sales at launch and everyone will love it and not realising they’re killing the games industry.

Which would you prefer citizen’s: to play Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 9.9×10^99, the best game of 2009, or play Infinity Ward’s new action game, hailed as the most inventive thing ever, and the most explosive and action packed game of 2060, and every year before that?

Pfft infinity ward aint a good developer anymore…RESPAWN!,also i heard its much more like world at war, which i really do hope so because mw2 was like fighting wth peashooters, especially with the snipers, i was boycotting this game till the day before it came out,i haven’t bought it yet but i most probably will i’m ashamed to say, however i do agree with you matthew it is already happening though, the fps genre will become oversaturated and will become the next guitar hero, also treyarch make the more enjoyable games which is another reason why i will probably be buying it

Finished the campaign at the weekend and it’s most definitely a better, more intelligible experience than the ridiculous mess that was MW2′s singleplayer experience. It’s still Call of Duty, and I think that Treyarch have taken the formula about as far they can, but they’ve outdone Infinity Ward this time around.

Still mulling over the multiplayer. I’ve got it on PC and the technical issues are, well, discouraging.

If anyone has played call of duty world at war, hopefully you will remember treyarks captain price, sgt reznov,which danny unfortunately called makarov(noob!) sgt reznov is the only good character for me.

not to mention the gore.

Captain Price is Infinity Wards’ creation. He appears in the early CoD games (walrus moustache and all) and in the two Modern Warfare games.

Since i never played a CoD campaign i have a question, Does that character actually have a persisting personality? Or is he like a side character?
