Lots of unusual, weird and interesting games pop up when Steam have their sales. I’m not talking about the obvious valve high caliber titles that turn up with a regular familiarity. I’m talking about the small indie games that unless you are part of the indie scene you will never know about; Those obscure Russian games people seem to love mainly because they’re obscure and Russian; and, of course, all the games in between.
Like many of the Citizen Game writers I have a real weakness for a bargain and as a result my steam library is an embarrassment of un-played riches. Over the years I have accumulated almost 100 games, of which I think i’ve only played 10 or 20. So over 2012 I am making it my mission to play, complete (to the best of my ability), and either review or write a Blast from the Past retrospective on as many of the games in my steam collection*.
