Attention, PC gamers!
Citizen Game is now the proud possessor of a functional minecraft server, open to all our community members. The world is looking pretty empty right now, so come join in and flex your creative muscles.
For more on the indie sensation, and the joys of creating your own block-tastic worlds, see Barry waxing lyrical about Minecraft last year. You console-bound folks will have to give this one a miss for now, but never fear, as Minecraft is scheduled to reach Xbox 360 some time in the future, with the addition of Kinect support.
The ground rules are:
- PvP is off – this is a collaborative effort people
- No griefing – interfering with other people’s projects will be grounds for a ban
- Keep it tasteful – no giant phallic statues, please
- Have fun
Message @richardp for details of how to join the server.

gamenight! gamenight! gamenight!
I got the survivng first night business done, It’s just they looked like skeletons, not green zombie things.
Minecraft has a day-and-night cycle, and monsters spawn at night and in caves below ground. Try digging a hole into a cliff, and blocking the entrance to survive your first night.
Should we have some sort of time when we can all log in at the same time? And I logged on and almost got killed by skeltons. Being new to minecraft WTF?
Its been a while since i’ve dug a massive digital hole. Maybe its time to dust off my wooden pickaxe
