The Citizen Soapbox is an area where we throw out topics to the users of Citizen Game. When we record the podcast on Sunday night we take the previous week’s Soapbox answers and use them in our own discussions. We think it’s a great way of involving you guys in our stupid arguments!
The Setup:
None of us can afford to go to e3, so watching the expo’s live and enjoying the trickles of news that leak out over the weekend is just going to have to do. At this stage you must be thinking of game & console announcements you hope will be true this time next week. Maybe a sequel to your favourite game? A brand new console? Sony’s PS3 shakey-hands wand to support BluRay realo-porn?

Unlikely, but I’m praying for Rockstar to officially announce Bully 2. Loved the original game.
And definitely this is highly unlikely, Sony announcing The Getaway 3. Apparently the game wasn’t cancelled and is still on hold.
i hope they annuonce a new console but i’d lov some footage or more news on black ops and a new skateboarding game.

I’ve got my fingers crossed for a new Chris Sawyer game.
Oh and hopefully a new Star Wars: Battlefront!
Updates and upgrades to the playstation network, especially the subscription service. But as the PSN is currently closed for maintenance, we may get some news before then. The playstation network being offline the last 12 hours has never been so exciting.
Also looking forward to hear about any new games. But I can’t think of anything that would get me super excited unless they announced they would give everybody a free copy of Red Dead so I could actually play the bastard!
Unfortunately, I am sure its going to be full of 3D shite and motion crap. Very exciting for the likes of Gamespot, who get to use all this stuff for free but Sony seem convinced I am desperate pay thousands of pounds to wave my hands about like a prick while wearing a pair of shite glasses (two if you count the ones I use to see!)
Sorry for the double post, but a few more came to mind. A few PS3 games I’d like to see. Definitely Killzone 3, and inFamous 2. Would not be surprised if there was a Resistance 3 announcement. Also, unlikely but I WANT to see a FF7 remake.
Whatever it is that Valve announce officially, I’d be surprised if one of their guys there didn’t let something about episode 3 slip in the many questions they get asked.
Beyond Good and Evil 2 stuff would be really good. I remember never completing it because every time I install it, I get up to the slaughterhouse and something goes horribly wrong with my PC, leading to a new one needing to be bought.
Whatever gets announced, I’m looking forward to it all.

I hope they announce a new Twisted Metal, I’ve been waiting 9 years for it!
Half Life 3 is going to be the big one I think this year. Its been too long since Episode 2 for Valve to have been working on Episode 3 this whole time. Their E3 surprise will be a new game engine to replace Source and Half Life 3 will be the first game that uses it.
rockstar wont be attending so that has gta5 out of the way, so maybe something along the lines of capcom saying more about the re 2 remake or twisted metal 5.
